There is a lot of excitement surrounding the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series of gaming GPUs. Although the official release is planned for CES 2024, some information about the flagship RTX 5090 has already come across the Internet. These leaks suggest a picture of an incredibly potent GPU, but they also prompt interesting questions.
Rumors of the RTX 5090 suggest it will feature 32Gb of GDDR7 video memory. This is twice the standard memory size of the RTX 5080 and 5070 Ti; they make big promises and have high performance in games and graphics-intensive applications.
However, owning this raw power comes with a premium price. The performance-hungry GPU, expected to be the RTX 5090, consumes 575 watts of power. Gamers must upgrade to high-amp power supplies and ensure proper cooling for their systems.
These leaked specs point towards the fact that the RTX 5090 is going to be an absolute giant among GPUs. In the currently released games, the gamers are in for a surprise as to the next level of performance and graphics.
But it is still a concern to see a 575W power draw.
We should emphasize that, at this stage, we’re only dealing with rumors. Nvidia will unveil details about the actual specification of RTX 5090 at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2024.
Information regarding the possible future of gaming has leaked recently with such graphics cards as the Nvidia RTX 5090. Gamers should prepare for some issues linked to the extreme graphics card.
We’ll need to wait for the RTX 5090 announcement at CES 2024 to confirm if these rumors are true.
